As I add and create more Balls & Holes, I plan to periodically update this post. Enjoy!!!!
The ordering of this post is:
First, all the raw/high raw vegan balls
Then the raw/high raw vegan donut holes
Then, optional add-ins, tweaks, and extras that can be applied to the recipes, when appropriate.
Then, jokes!
High Raw Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls
Raw Vegan Peanut Butter (or Sunflower Seed Butter) Vanilla Balls
No-Bake Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls (with a High Protein Option)
When Are You Making These?
Raw Vegan Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Ballswith Vegan Chocolate Chips & (non-vegan) Butterscotch Chips
No-Bake Vegan Maple Flaxseed Cookies High Raw Vegan Sugar Cookie Dough Balls
High Raw Vegan Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Balls
No Bake Vegan Rum Cake Balls
And try not to get drunk. Kidding, the alcohol is pretty minor in these!
Raw Vegan Caramels
And Nut Butter Filled Caramel Bites
My recipe for Homemade Vegan Raw Caramel Sauce, too!
These Vegan Caramels and Stuffed Carmels are sooo easy...3 ingredients, Gluten/Soy/TreeNut-Free, and the the flavor is totally spot-on, authentic, melt-in-your-mouth goodness! I hope you make them!
GF Vegan Sweet Seed Crackers (i.e. Homemade Mary's Crackers)
Donut Holes
Raw Vegan Donut Holes
Raw Vegan Chocolate Donut Holes
Raw Vegan Chocolate Peppermint Donut Holes
High Raw Vegan Pumpkin Spice Donut Holes
Optional Add-In's, Extras, Tweaks, Variations for the Previous Recipes:
- Use Christmas Cookie Cutters and make Stars, Reindeer, Gingerbread men, etc.
- Shape into logs, bars, biggerballs, squares, hearts
- Decorate with Sprinkles!!!
- Frosting or Icing (see my Raw Vegan Icing Recipe Here)
- Roll finished product in: Cinnamon-Sugar, Brown or White Sugar, Carob, Coconut, Cocoa Nibs, Cocoa Powder, Powdered Sugar, Shredded Coconut
- Dip in Maple Syrup or Agave
- Add in Carob, Coconut, Cocoa Nibs into the "dough" mixture
- Rather than adding in chocolate chips, add raisins
- Use raisins instead of dates, gogi berries instead of raisins, dried cranberries instead of dried cherries, etc.
- Use or combine multiple types of dried fruit rather than solely using dates: gogi berries, raisins, cranberries, craisins, apricots
- Dash of agave or coconut oil if mixture is too dry
- Dehydrate for a more "cooked tasting" version. But I love the raw dough taste so this is out for me generally speaking!
- Flatten or mold into larger cookie shapes
- Double the recipe to share with others. I like to make dessert recipes that don't make a ridiculous quantity so you're not tempted to eat the whole thing in a sitting! But also, smaller batches are nice because that way you get to try it, but then move onto something new & different. I need variety in my dessert life, I tell ya!
Tip of the Day: What Makes Up a "Good Recipe"
For me, a recipe has to encompass many things if I am going to actually make it and then continue making it as it becomes a go-to favorite.
Some of those recipe elements include:
1. Easy. The less steps the better.
2. Time Involved. If I cannot make the entire thing from walking into my pantry to grab the dry goods to the last dish is dried and put away 30 minutes later then I am probably not going to make it. I have a life outside of the kitch, too.
3. One appliance. For me, this is my Vita-Mix. For you, it may be your food processor or Magic Bullet. Dehydrated food is lovely, but it can be a lonnnnng wait and too much advance planning. And also the amount of dishes involved factors in here too. If you need a whisk, spoon, spatula, mixer beaters, Vita canisters, dehydrator screens, 7 bowls, forget it. One Appliance Please!!
4. Very simple and short ingredient list. Nothing exotic. Nothing too expensive.
5. Taste. Must be excellent and if it's a raw approximation of Something Else, it's gotta taste like the Something Else it's trying to be otherwise why bother. Just eat the Something Else or skip it entirely. Unless I can make a raw approximation that is spot-on in the flavor department, I'd rather just not have it.
And now, I present you with Ball Humor. If you don't have a sense of humor or you're mind is firmly out of the gutter, then go ahead and stop reading now. For the rest of us, enjoy my little Ball Jokes!

Holy balls!!!
biting into my computer screen!
thanks for this post. gettin ingredients for those cherry balls today. i have heard cherries are supposed to help with inflammation. whatever works!
I'm drooling now... bring some over!!!! ;)
book marking this page right now :)
happy day lovemuffin!! <3
I am soooo excited about all your "balls" recipies, I can't wait to try them! I saw that you visited one of my blogs. The one I post to most frequently is:
www.runnakedsquirrelrun.blogspot.com
Averie...I wanted to make your peppermint donut holes and the recipie calls for 1 c of flax seeds...what is the equivalent in ground flax??
Woot! Thanks for this. Now it will be easier to find out what I might contemplate to make.
I think ease of recipe is how unmessy something is. If it involves a flowered surface and lots of sticky dough, it's so not for me
I can't imagine the number of ball jokes that will ensue as a result of this post...you are a brave woman :-)
These balls look to die for, btw!
Wholly yum! I'm in ball heaven!
Enjoy!
What amazing balls! Thanks for this nice compilation!
Balls have taken over my computer!!!!
Stop, just stop. I am "ball"ing my eyes out over your ball jokes.
you're killing me!
really though.. you're killing me. I am hungry and a few oranges don't quite do a raw donut hole justice.
they should...they're just another ball to laugh at but no...nuts and dates and all the other amazing ing are great!
time to go find some dark chocolate to nibble on.
sheez
xoxoxo
Oh gosh. Your ball humor totally has me cracking up.
All of your balls look delish!!
hahah "don't freeze your balls off!" These all look SO good. I'm bookmarking in this page too :) you are a genius!
i'm pretty sure you should make a cookbook and call it "balls"
You have the BEST ball recipes anywhere! Once again "Schweaty Balls" from SNL is playing in my mind : )
I was just eating a chocolate ball as I was reading this, yum! I'll keep this bookmarked for sure!
Nicole
SOOOOOO many balls! I wish I could make some, but alas I am now sans food processor/blender. They look delish, though.

Oh, I wish I had seen this post before I posted today! I just made some of your balls and put them up on my site. I'll update the link now! I used flax and dates and made mocha baby balls. YUM!
I wish I could count the number of times you wrote "balls".
What a recap!!! You rock :)
Hey there Averie - you won my headband contest, so pick a color from the photo and email me your address at mnowac@gmail.com.

I'm addicted to these!!
hahah so many BALLS!! love it tho..they all look awesome!! i could never stop eating them at just ONE.
hope you had a great tuesday girl! lots of love!
Ahaha! Really never thought I'd say this, but I just love your balls! Your whole blog is terrific. I tried your original choc chip recipe and it was too good. My husband is icked out by the idea of eating raw cookie dough because of the eggs, and he loved them, too.
I'm barely eating sweets these days and one of the things I love about these is the serving size. Just a bit is so satisfying.
I've been blogging about getting my palate back to enjoying simple foods if you're interested in checking it out at thesimplicitychallenge.wordpress.com.

Love your balls!
This is the food porniest of all food porn and I love it.
WOW, that is a lot of tasty balls!
I need to make those some time...
YUM!
That's a whole lotta BALLS, lady! I WISH I could make ALL of those but alas - I'm sans food processor (I know I know, how do I live, right?!). But probably first on my list would be raw chocolate cherry balls. Mmm!
Wow girl. You got ballllllsss.
Mmm, thanks for posting all of these! I LOVE the gingerbread balls and pumpkin spice donut hole ideas!
Also, I love the tip to make "biggerballs" lol! If the biggerballs aren't cutting it, just grab the spoon.
The perfect exit would be to say that I'm off to nibble on my balls, but I have to be honest, I'm ball-less right now. :(
Fave: Don't get your balls in a wad and stack-a-ball- hee hee- I love puns.
Huge mistake to read this post on an empty stomach. Huge.
YEs, my idea of a good recipe is that it's easy and has few major ingredients...some of mine qualify and others don't. Having said that, one of my absolute fave recipes ever in my life is a (stick fingers in your ears vegans and veggies) rib recipe and the rib rub has about 39395 spices. HOWEVER, I made it once and it changed my life, and everyone else for whom I make the ribs (I have also used the rib rub on tofu, salmon, chicken etc)...So I make spice packets ahead of time- takes about 30 minutes but lasts months and months. From there it's dead easy. :-)
yes!! Im so glad you compiled these all into one easy location. Sweet!! Thanks! I cannot get enough of these balls thats for sure!=) I think next up though Im going to try the donut holes. They look amazingly good and its something new to me. Cant wait! Take care love!
I never get tired of that cookie dough, but I've had to stop making it for awhile. I'm trying to slow down with the agave. I've barely touched the stuff lately. I'm so proud of myself.
I keep wanting to make these- how have I not done it yet? I know I'll love your balls....There are too many TWSS on this posting, its not even funny. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! I wish we could do a meet up at some point! You rock girl!!
Love the ball humor Averie! I still need to try some of these balls, so thanks for the post!
When are you opening up a bakery!! (Un-bakery?)
bahhh I love all of your balls :) seriously SO GOOD! you need to open up a shop, K?
what makes a good recipe...it has to be easy to follow, healthy and tastyyyyy of course!
the already 46 ball joke comments are great, I mean you had to know that was coming right?!
xoxox
this post cracked me up :) and I love the gingerbread and choc. peppermint ones!
Haha great post!
Will be bookmarked right away!
These all look so great! I just started being vegan and love new recipes!
Alright so either you are making a ton of these! Or you are begging me to make some myself! Either one, I'm bringing my butt to the store to get the ingredients. Thank Averie!
AVERIE!
You are going to force me on the BALL bandwagon, huh?
Nice job, and great collaborative post! I love seeing them all in one place!!
XO,
Erin
Averie! I love your site - I read it haphazardly and bit by bit just to cheer up or inspire myself. I have to admit that the term 'ball' has kept me from trying some of your delicious recipes (I'm even a gutter girl!) because somehow ball just doesn't sound appetizing (perhaps my life-long aversion to Hostess Sno Balls :P), but after seeing this mouth-watering list I've just resolved to call them 'raw cookies' and dive in. Thank you! :)
These look AWESOME! The thing I love about your recipes is that they are so easy. I can't wait to try 'em!
You craaack me up. :)
Props on the compilation Averie, thanks for the links. (Obviously, people are way lazy because I use your recipes, all the freaking time, but at least now they have this!)
xoxo
I just found the recipies so I deleted the above question.
Love your blog and recipes. I was searching for raw snack ideas and well...I won't be searching any longer. Can't wait to try them ALL.

Ohhh I just want to tell you the raw cookie dough balls (with added protein) have now become a family fave. My kids beg me to make them and put them in their lunches (instead of baked cookies loaded with sugar). So finally a dessert the boys love and that I can feel good about giving them. :-) Can't wait to try out some more- although the request is always for these:-)

I've been wanting to try the AB Cookie Balls for a while now and the Sugar Cookie Balls look great too! I've made the Oatmeal Raisins Balls and PB Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls and they are dangerous! I think I'd make them much more often if I had a food processor - it takes a lot of work with my blender.
Recently made your chocolate chip cookie balls. I'm very new to the "raw" scene and don't even come close to doing all raw, so I have to admit that they didn't quite do it for me, but I'm going to keep trying and perhaps go with one of the chocolate ball recipes next time. Can't go wrong with cocoa!
I'm still dying to try the chocolate chip cookie dough balls!
I would definitely want to try make the gingerbread dough balls! Gingerbread is my absolute favorite cake/cookie/whatever xD
I've made ALL of these except for the rum balls (can't stand rum), pumpkin spice (I'll save those for next holiday season) and the ones with oatmeal in them, which is on my queue of recipes to try out.
